Do you know who legolas is? Well, he is the hottie from the movie Lord of the Rings. He was acted by the 'now you see how gorgeous I am, now you don't' Orlando Bloom of whom you can see on Pirates of the Carribean. Well this 'Legolas',which me and mariah nicknamed after..okay, it was me...is a spitting image of Orlando Bloom but the Indian version. We ate at Arab Street and the food was nice but what was even nicer were the cute male waiters! Swoons!!
Prior to that, we had quite a tiring walk coz we practically explored Bugis Street which had no air con and made my hair all freezy and my skin all oily. But it's okay, me and mariah bought a pretty skirt each! Hehe..nice guy...he didn't react that much when we bargained except to give us at our own good bargain price! wahey!
We also walked through the Bugis Junction and lesson number one: NEVER visit that shopping mall on a Saturday. If you MUST go there, at least empty your bladder first anywhere but there coz the toilet queues were snake-like!
We also took a long walk round Arab Street, Bussorah Street and whatever street to find a good place to sit down to eat. But the eating places there were either too run down or too posh and so alas, after a while walking through the almost dark lanes, we settled for a place that sell Turkish cuisine. Tsk, talk about wanting to try something new and we ended up at the same place we went the last time! Kekeke..but it is ok coz it had been a very long while..was it last year? Can't remember..getting old lah!
By the way, I am still on course and tomorrow is the last day for the writing course. Well, so far I do enjoy the course and there are so many things I learnt including the 'common mistakes' and we wouldn't even know that we are making them because everyone seems to be adopting it! And miraculously I got a B3 for General Paper?!!
Oh, for the heck of it, I checked out the meaning of eyecandy which I have been using recently quite a lot of times. The trainer told us that just because everyone used that word in an official letter, report or email doesn't mean that we are using the word correctly! For the heck of it, this is what I found out about the REAL meaning of eyecandy. It is actually spelt as 'eye candy' as two separate words instead of one word. It means:
visual images that are pleasing to see but are intellectually undemanding; "he wanted to put some eye candy on their web site".
Can't get that? You know what is a bimbo? Something like that..
Anyway, in my case, yes some guys are simply 'eye candy' to me but that's just what they are. Rahayu doesn't really care if they are intelligent or what as long as they are nice to look at near or far because she's not interested in getting to know them. But definitely it would be a bonus if they're both physically pleasing and intelligent too..just hope they're not gay.
I think the course is like a wake up call to us and after the course, I am definitely gonna get a dictionary. After years of using a dictionary at home and in school, NOW then I know how to use the book properly. Tsk..
Meanwhile during break, I messed around a bit and we took some snapshots. There's one thing I noticed about myself recently. I seem to be looking different and different each time as if Im finally getting into the groove of being in my mid twenties. Darn it! Oh well....
By the way, yesterday I was complaining about how I felt so self conscious of myself. I felt much better today even though I didn't bring an old photo but I figured out that what you wear may or may not flatter you and if it does not, it can affect you emotionally. I think that was what happened to me yesterday coz I teamed up at the last minute a combi which is wrong..wrong..wrong..and made me 'bigger' than I actually was coz it felt so 'figure hugging'. I was okay with the top but I think the problem was that I wore a wrong skirt to go along with it and it made me look so 'stunted'.
Anyway, I told myself to just put a sock in it if I ever felt so freakin 'aware' of myself. My only concern today was my hair coz I washed it this morning and that air con has a funny way of making my hair extra frizzy especially on the day I had washed it. Hrm, still I told myself to just 'flip flip' and then there you are...no need to think too much coz it will eventually be messy from time to time knowing that I don't do much with my hair except to shampoo and condition. So don't expect to possess soft shiny silky hair like others who take greater pains than me in ensuring their hair is in that condition with regular hair treatments. Haiz...I told you it isn't easy being a young woman.
Enjoy the pics!
tsk..sibuk je. I wanted to tell ask them to help take
a pic of me..not them! haha..
hehe.....one more for the road!
uhm..you have to understand my height and
the height of the one who took my pic..keke..
hence the 'cut off' effect.
'glowing' under the luminous light of the room..tehe
heheh..pretending to be all 'smart' with a dictionary
in the picture now.
yet another 'intelligent woman' wannabe
my smile a bit 'cramped' coz she took a LOoOng

my fav colleague for years..

are so close but physically, we're worlds apart! this woman
has never been fat before! *maintain sey..*
me and the youngest colleague in the department.
Oh, she's a flea market bargain hunter so if you want
to know where to get cheap cheap but nice nice 'bajus'
or clothing, she can sniff out the places well and good!
sultry...............snapshot of myself during moments
of extreme boredom.
