I dont know what is my fate later..am I gonna get screamed at by my friend who thought that I could not decipher what the crap she's talking about. Like in other words...Im no GeeK! I dont speak GeeK language! dammit..i understood...im just diverting your attention.
DO you know that the winner of the recent tv I.T. programme isnt a geek at all in the first place? She doesnt do computer geeky stuffs and yet! She gets to visit the microsoft headquarters..yes..THE headquarters..where sir bill gates calls his shot. Why? Because she is creative and innovative. While geeks tend to hide in their silly little cubicles working hard and have problem socialising..heh..taking a dig at them here....she grasps things, puts in her input based on her own self creativity rather than churning out loads of information from thick computer books and sell out her ideas. Basically, she delivers what people..the people you see on the streets whose knowledge on I.T. is not necessarily sky high..really want out of the usage of information and technology. That is the main purpose of I.T. To make your life easier! We are working towards achieving efficiency through working smart..and of course..with the ease of technology. So you want email on the go..mobile..so you can check your emails wherever you go. Well, someone may have that brainwave but just doesnt have the knowledge to go do something about it. So this is where the more qualified people with the more relevant knowledge come in. You think ideas just fall off from the sky?
Frankly speaking, some computer geeks are just...bloodsuckers. WHy? Think in the line of hackers....virus writers..and you get the picture. Besides having zil social life...they have a twisted mindset where they try to show the world that they may be a geek..have no love life...and a face infested with pimples from not showering enough....but they can take over the world. Yeah..pfftt..take over the world temporarily and then hit for the prison where they can die in a mere day for not having internet access in their cell. I may hacked into the national library board portal in the library accidentally but im still no hacker. Die....i just admitted. It was an accident may i remind you that! They left the 'backdoor' open and i Need to know where the heck is the book! Plus, I dont like prison food. Watched too many CSI:Miami episodes.
So..please dont put down yourself if your knowledge of I.T. is just so so...Heck, I wouldnt even qualify as an amateur either. Im way below the rank so those colleagues of mine who call me a computer genius and who types like she's chatting with someone at top speed....hrm...i kinda like that but still! Im no computer genius. Plus, Im not really into helping people in this matter coz..err..I want to remain low profile. SO I wont say how extensive or how limited my knowledge is coz I dont want to be the first in line to be screamed at for screwing their system. Yup, thats the worser part of being an I.T. literate. Either you're a God or you're the cause of man made destruction.
Sad...anyway I hope the little project I helped my friend to do..err...I hope I didnt screw it up last minute. That's the thing..Im scared to help her coz she panicks easily as this is not for her personally. I know how she's like but since I needed the money rather urgently and she has been forcing me to handle this thing for a long long time, I just needed to close the gap. You know what gap. Wish me luck!
