Unpleasant Encounter

Wah, some things should just be left unsaid. Yesterday had the most unpleasant encounter at my work place with a contractor who was verbally abusing me because I was not happy with him when he forced me to sign on the letter. And then he had the cheek to keep pointing at me and accusing me of being rude and he was not rude. What a joker. Yes I admit that I got worked up a bit but in no way was I throwing words at him like he did. Anyway he did more than he shouldn't do like grabbing our school stamp and refused to listen to instructions as if treating this place like he blnged her.

Never had I been so insulted in such manner but I was at least happy to know there were people who backed me up and complained to the company as well as even quarreled with the contractor when he was being defiant. He accused us of not helping and throwing around like a ball. But that's not true. We did help him call the manager, showed him where the phone line box was and accompanied him to the telephone riser. He became unhappy when we asked him to wait for the signature. We were all busy and he didn't come on time with all sorts of excuses. It was also the same day where we had the Primary One Registration so everyone would be running around and hence we had given him the designated time to come which he did not. I was mad but I tried to keep my cool instead of lashing at him back as in who the hell was the rude one when he kept pointing his finger at me...haiz.

Anyway, I'll just put the episode  behind me. But it was shocking though..all in a day's work.

Being a Teacher isn't Easy

I work with teachers but I'm not a teacher. I actually work in the admin department and I like my job though sometimes it can be challenging especially when I feel swarmed by it. Or when my boss keeps calling me for work related stuffs especially when she is doing the approval for payment or vetting through. So, the headache. Anyway, I can honestly say most teachers are really nice though some are really driving me up the wall. That or they are just simply aint nice but then, it is also because of their personality. But as teachers, they are really dedicated. I also deal with parents and honestly, they can be demanding and very irritating and they are not scared of the higher authority in school. To them, they are being like that all because they care for their children but they are overbearing as if they don't let their children make mistakes and learn. Plus, whatever their children said, they believe every bit of their story though they are not there to see for themselves an...

A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. You would always be the people's President. On the other spectrum, a young child had also lost his life. A few of my colleagues witnessed the events which unfolded in front of...

Our First Group Meeting After Graduation

It has been a long time coming since the last time we met was on Graduation Day although I did meet up with 3 of them quite recently for a birthday celebration. I somehow never seem to miss out on any of the gatherings including the time when we went to a coffee shop after our stressful Econs exam papers. Still don't know how we survived that miraculously..haha.. Anyway, I've always been a silent supporter to this friendly bunch of people who always make me feel inclusive knowing that I am a lady of few words, haha.  We went to this restaurant called PU3 and although the service staff should really write down orders so that we don't always have to remind them that two of our drinks had not arrived get our orders wrong. I mean it's for their customers' benefit and also their own so that they don' undercharge their customers. Just saying. They serve Nasi Ambeng served in a big dulang or tray that is meant to be eaten by 2, 4 or 6 people which is m...
