Angels and Airwaves

The things I do when Im running out of money. Walk home. But I still have to make a pit stop to buy groceries. Then, walk home. But it's good in the sense that I am able to save transport money, which by the way, part of it was 'eaten up' by the ezlink scanner in a bus last Sunday when the bus driver forgot to change the 'entry' sign on it to 'entry/exit' sign. That means if I scanned in my card to an 'entry' sign when I first board it and then come out of the bus through an 'entry' sign too, instead of 'exit', it would deduct the MAXIMUM FULL fare. That means 2 dollar plus!!! For a bloody journey that would cost less than 1 dollar!!!

Tsk...

And here I was trying to prolong my card usage which I just topped up before I boarded that fateful bus.

Call me calculative but it's something that I have to do. But there's a good thing out of walking home. I get to cut down my journey from 3 or 4 bus trips to just 2. Still it depends on the weather conditions. Like yesterday it was raining and I had to stop at the bus stop on the way back. So just as I thought...darn.....cant walk....then the rain stopped.

Maybe it's a sign from God in His bid to help me save money too. And indeed I did when the fare meant to use for my way back home is used for work the next day instead.

Talking about money. You know how it's nice to know that amidst the hustle and bustle of our lives, there is such a thing as angels. They walk among us and if ure lucky enough, you get to meet them or befriend them even. So in life, dont be too nasty to pple because it's really not going to do them good...and yourself either. Because if we need help at some point of our life, no one is going to offer help to you. Just think. We're not invincible. We are still vulnerable. But for some reason, I dont know what is going on, I just find that nowadays people are getting more self centered with their 'me first' attitude.

Change pple change...the world doesnt revolve around you....sigh...

Anyway to my angel, thank U! :)

Birthday Gathering & House Hunting

Last week, I celebrated a friend of mine's belated birthday together with another friend at her condo. Sadly, this would be the last time we would hold the celebration at her place because she has finally managed to sell off her condo unit after one year of looking for a buyer. Mostly we used the swimming pool facilities although the two of us didn't swim at all but just chill under the shade. We brought home cooked food and I really appreciated my friend for doing this for us, thinking about how the young son of a friend of us would love the swimming pool for kids. She is so selfless and kind to her friends and I'm truly blessed to have her in my life.  While one was selling off the house, the other friend was on the verge of getting a dream house for herself and her young son. In life, we have many priorities and things to look forward to. Each of our dreams and aspirations are different from one another, like for me, getting a house is not a priority at the moment.  ...

A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. You would always be the people's President. On the other spectrum, a young child had also lost his life. A few of my colleagues witnessed the events which unfolded in front of...
