Beyond Enemy Line

I just watched this first episode of a new Japanese anime set in 1800s war torn Feudal Japan. Seriously, you have no idea how 'versatile' I am in terms of what to watch. Big budget movies like James Bond dont quite appeal to me. Anyway, back to this. Different parts of Japan were at war with one another and then one of the soldier actually formed a friendship with another soldier from an enemy state when he was sent there. So when he came back, his soldiers were attacked at seas by the opposing state where incidentally, his friend was also on board the enemy ship. Then while at the HQ, the key players actually congregated together opposing the underhand tactics used by the enemy ship. But he actually defended them calling them courageous for attacking the enemy line at such close proximity by misleading them with an American flag at first.

So of course they were suspecting some things were amiss because he was obviously not on their side. And before they could react further, he left and then stood by the edge of the cliff overlooking the seas wondering how his new friend was and wishing that he would be alive amidst the chaos the other night.

They havent got to the part as to how they became friends yet but I just thought it was interesting..like u know...wishing your enemy was alive instead of being dead. I suppose he learnt a lot of things about them that made him rethink that the war among them was pointless. But on the other hand, he might have been misled using the tactic of getting to know your enemy first before attacking them. So this 'friendship' would turn out to be nothing but fraud.

Hence, I was intrigued by the ongoing storyline later. So one request...........

PLEASE POST THEM UP QUICKLY!!!!

Anyway, the animation was rich like how the guy's long flowing raven hair beautifully framed his petite face. But the subtitles were a little bit too fast for me coz I suppose Japanese people speak fast?!

Loking fwd to watching it again.

Birthday Gathering & House Hunting

Last week, I celebrated a friend of mine's belated birthday together with another friend at her condo. Sadly, this would be the last time we would hold the celebration at her place because she has finally managed to sell off her condo unit after one year of looking for a buyer. Mostly we used the swimming pool facilities although the two of us didn't swim at all but just chill under the shade. We brought home cooked food and I really appreciated my friend for doing this for us, thinking about how the young son of a friend of us would love the swimming pool for kids. She is so selfless and kind to her friends and I'm truly blessed to have her in my life.  While one was selling off the house, the other friend was on the verge of getting a dream house for herself and her young son. In life, we have many priorities and things to look forward to. Each of our dreams and aspirations are different from one another, like for me, getting a house is not a priority at the moment.  ...

A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. You would always be the people's President. On the other spectrum, a young child had also lost his life. A few of my colleagues witnessed the events which unfolded in front of...
