My Dearly Beloved

My computer has served me well all these years and I am afraid that one of these coming days, it will eventually give up and die on me. Last week, it almost did and I revived it twice myself with some kind of miracle. I think it is pretty true when they say that during critical times of one's life, one can expect to do things out of the ordinary. But I know that it won't be long and I suppose I have to start saving up to get a new one just in case. Still, to actually be able to save up a significant amount for a brand new computer will be yet another miracle. I know people will rather buy a laptop than a new computer but despite the advances a laptop can have in terms of mobility and specs, that little thing just cannot last long.

Right now, despite getting on to a slow crawl, it is busy downloading a movie which I tried as I might not to but youtube got the strangest policy of muting the videos that contain copyrighted music. And also because it happened to mute the critical parts of the movie, my itchy fingers could not help but go search for the movie and download the whole damn thing.

If my internet service provider is going to serve me a warning letter, I dunno if blaming youtube will be the best thing but Rahayu is desperate! Unfortunately, it won't be the only movie which I have in mind and being someone who hardly downloads things to my pc, even legally, you should let me have my way, man. And once again, my computer has come to save the day as it has fully finished downloading the movie within a mere 2 days. Okay fine I tweaked the settings of the software and the computer but hey, it has served me well coz now I can finally hear what the heck they were saying unless I could read the spanish subtitles in the videos.

Once again, thank you and I promise I will take good care of you. You will not be replaced so easily my love!

Being a Teacher isn't Easy

I work with teachers but I'm not a teacher. I actually work in the admin department and I like my job though sometimes it can be challenging especially when I feel swarmed by it. Or when my boss keeps calling me for work related stuffs especially when she is doing the approval for payment or vetting through. So, the headache. Anyway, I can honestly say most teachers are really nice though some are really driving me up the wall. That or they are just simply aint nice but then, it is also because of their personality. But as teachers, they are really dedicated. I also deal with parents and honestly, they can be demanding and very irritating and they are not scared of the higher authority in school. To them, they are being like that all because they care for their children but they are overbearing as if they don't let their children make mistakes and learn. Plus, whatever their children said, they believe every bit of their story though they are not there to see for themselves an...

A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. You would always be the people's President. On the other spectrum, a young child had also lost his life. A few of my colleagues witnessed the events which unfolded in front of...

Our First Group Meeting After Graduation

It has been a long time coming since the last time we met was on Graduation Day although I did meet up with 3 of them quite recently for a birthday celebration. I somehow never seem to miss out on any of the gatherings including the time when we went to a coffee shop after our stressful Econs exam papers. Still don't know how we survived that miraculously..haha.. Anyway, I've always been a silent supporter to this friendly bunch of people who always make me feel inclusive knowing that I am a lady of few words, haha.  We went to this restaurant called PU3 and although the service staff should really write down orders so that we don't always have to remind them that two of our drinks had not arrived get our orders wrong. I mean it's for their customers' benefit and also their own so that they don' undercharge their customers. Just saying. They serve Nasi Ambeng served in a big dulang or tray that is meant to be eaten by 2, 4 or 6 people which is m...
