SMART Goal Setting & Leveraging on Social Media

This week, I had to design the covers of 10 notebooks which I did explain the reason why in my earlier post. But it's okay because if you're kind and generous, you will be duly rewarded. Anyway, designing is therapeutic as you get 'lost' in trying to come up with good designs but of course, when it starts to get stressful, it's no longer as fun. I like designing on smaller layouts because I think I will get bored or run out of ideas if I were to design on bigger layouts. But now, I got an order to design for 8 (yikes..) full sized 12" X 12" layouts and to be honest, I don't know how am I going to pull it. I believe, in this instance, I really have to pull in whatever knowledge I picked up from watching hundreds of you tube videos and translate them into the layouts.

Wish me luck!

Oh, I don't know it is going to turn out but I dare not take too much money from her so I just decide $15.00 instead of $20.00 and I was upfront in telling her that it is because it's my first such project. This is just so if she likes it in future, with more confidence, I can charge a fuller price :) I know this will cost about $30 and above but I'm not that skillful so it's better to charge according to your skill level.

I honestly like this side income and I've been reading quite a lot of social media tips online and entrepreneurial articles so that I can be more aware about making good money and to be more successful in reaching out to more people without choking them. There are many articles providing useful tips pertaining to leveraging the social media to target your potential market and also to increase engagement with potential customers such as this Entrepreneurship article.

The road to achieving success in all aspects of our life, whether for work, personal or business life, but you just gotta persevere. I talked about goal setting also and while I have yet to sit down and write down my goals such as setting up an emergency fund (very important) and getting rid of my debt so that I have one less financial burden, I believe I should. It will really help me to steer my life in the right direction.

If you're planning on goal setting, here's a wiki article on SMART goal setting. I plan on reading this later so that I'm not so clueless when I finally do my goal setting :)

Birthday Gathering & House Hunting

Last week, I celebrated a friend of mine's belated birthday together with another friend at her condo. Sadly, this would be the last time we would hold the celebration at her place because she has finally managed to sell off her condo unit after one year of looking for a buyer. Mostly we used the swimming pool facilities although the two of us didn't swim at all but just chill under the shade. We brought home cooked food and I really appreciated my friend for doing this for us, thinking about how the young son of a friend of us would love the swimming pool for kids. She is so selfless and kind to her friends and I'm truly blessed to have her in my life.  While one was selling off the house, the other friend was on the verge of getting a dream house for herself and her young son. In life, we have many priorities and things to look forward to. Each of our dreams and aspirations are different from one another, like for me, getting a house is not a priority at the moment.  ...

A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. You would always be the people's President. On the other spectrum, a young child had also lost his life. A few of my colleagues witnessed the events which unfolded in front of...
