Colourful Language

Sometimes kids say the darnest things and they can also be pretty cute even though they can be quite blur block at times.

Like earlier, I was attending to this kid in the sick bay and I asked him what happened so he told me that he was hit in the crotch by another kid (more precisely, head butted). But he didnt say crotch which would be more appropriate. Instead, he said that his friend hit him on his d*ck. I was like..'what?!' He paused for the moment coz I supposed he was finding another word coz he thought that I didnt know what he said.

And then he said that he came earlier and they gave him a pack of ice but it still hurt so my colleague said that he can call his mother to inform her. So I supposed his mother was trying her best to not fetch this kid back home coz it wasnt a major issue or something but he was like seriously trying to convince her. And the conversations were like..'but the thing still hurt!'...to....'It's not the long thing but the bottom part...the ball...still hurts..'...I was trying to listen to the conversation coz I wanted to know if the mother was coming but it was like..uhm...a bit too much for me since it was after all coming from a kid...heh.

Then he told me what his mother wanted him to do and then asked me for another bag of ice because his c*ck still hurt. He was like saying it so bluntly and I figured...just my luck I had to treat him.

Oh gawd..and the best part, when another kid came along and sat down beside him, he made friends with that boy on a whim. And thank God he didnt tell him what happened to him so he was spared from the 'ordeal' I went through just now hearing such words from a small boy..haha..

Being a Teacher isn't Easy

I work with teachers but I'm not a teacher. I actually work in the admin department and I like my job though sometimes it can be challenging especially when I feel swarmed by it. Or when my boss keeps calling me for work related stuffs especially when she is doing the approval for payment or vetting through. So, the headache. Anyway, I can honestly say most teachers are really nice though some are really driving me up the wall. That or they are just simply aint nice but then, it is also because of their personality. But as teachers, they are really dedicated. I also deal with parents and honestly, they can be demanding and very irritating and they are not scared of the higher authority in school. To them, they are being like that all because they care for their children but they are overbearing as if they don't let their children make mistakes and learn. Plus, whatever their children said, they believe every bit of their story though they are not there to see for themselves an...

A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. You would always be the people's President. On the other spectrum, a young child had also lost his life. A few of my colleagues witnessed the events which unfolded in front of...

Our First Group Meeting After Graduation

It has been a long time coming since the last time we met was on Graduation Day although I did meet up with 3 of them quite recently for a birthday celebration. I somehow never seem to miss out on any of the gatherings including the time when we went to a coffee shop after our stressful Econs exam papers. Still don't know how we survived that miraculously..haha.. Anyway, I've always been a silent supporter to this friendly bunch of people who always make me feel inclusive knowing that I am a lady of few words, haha.  We went to this restaurant called PU3 and although the service staff should really write down orders so that we don't always have to remind them that two of our drinks had not arrived get our orders wrong. I mean it's for their customers' benefit and also their own so that they don' undercharge their customers. Just saying. They serve Nasi Ambeng served in a big dulang or tray that is meant to be eaten by 2, 4 or 6 people which is m...
