Me..Pretty?!

Okay, so I told you that sometimes people may just like look at me thinking that I am NOT aware they're looking at me while I'll be putting on my thought of 'what..is there something with my face..my blouse..etc..' I know it's just a habit of guys to look at girls irregardless of whether they are pretty or bland..which yours truly actually fall in the latter category coz Im just not one of them girls who actually bother to dress up like some fashionista. For me, if I dont look gawdy..so 'out there'...extra fat..or extra goofy..well, good enuf! Of course hair check is critical too. I don't wear make up to work or outside except on some occasions and if I do wear foundation, it's just for my chin on top of my concealer coz I've got bad case of acne over there. Well, ex acne. It's the favourite 'hot spot' for pimples..darn it..

So, yup..this is a picture of me taken when Im inside the bus...alone on the second deck and it was raining. It's an interesting picture coz I've not taken a picture in the bus before..no wait, maybe I did. This is how I typically look...except when that day I happened to wash my hair. This one..no...I think either one or two days ago. Tsk..save shampoo and water la..

me alone in the bus..

good hair day - defn: hair washed the day before
or early in the morning followed by additional
combing in the later part of the morning.

me during my last year's birthday 2005

another one...

seriously..do i look younger compared to the last time? You know what..twice, the bus driver undercharged me like I paid 90 cents for feeder bus service and then they punched the ticket with 55 cents! No wonder the second bus driver looked at me..and I was thinking to myself I can't be paying less what..whatever the distance, it's 90 cents what! Then it struck me..bloody hell, he just made me waste 35 cents! Come on, I was carrying few bags of groceries and which typical teenager would carry that..except in the presence of their mother or their friends when they plan for some barbeque party? Oh, maybe just me the last time...but still, do I look like a teenager to you?

Okaylah, whatever it is, whether or not I look youthful, I must thank God for giving me at least a face that is boleh tahan or pleasant looking. At least, my ears, my nose, my mouth...are in their proper place or I look like one of those typical horror characters. Pretty or not...Im still me. And for the last time, stop staring at me..including you..the ah pek in the lift just now!

Birthday Gathering & House Hunting

Last week, I celebrated a friend of mine's belated birthday together with another friend at her condo. Sadly, this would be the last time we would hold the celebration at her place because she has finally managed to sell off her condo unit after one year of looking for a buyer. Mostly we used the swimming pool facilities although the two of us didn't swim at all but just chill under the shade. We brought home cooked food and I really appreciated my friend for doing this for us, thinking about how the young son of a friend of us would love the swimming pool for kids. She is so selfless and kind to her friends and I'm truly blessed to have her in my life.  While one was selling off the house, the other friend was on the verge of getting a dream house for herself and her young son. In life, we have many priorities and things to look forward to. Each of our dreams and aspirations are different from one another, like for me, getting a house is not a priority at the moment.  ...

A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. You would always be the people's President. On the other spectrum, a young child had also lost his life. A few of my colleagues witnessed the events which unfolded in front of...

Our First Group Meeting After Graduation

It has been a long time coming since the last time we met was on Graduation Day although I did meet up with 3 of them quite recently for a birthday celebration. I somehow never seem to miss out on any of the gatherings including the time when we went to a coffee shop after our stressful Econs exam papers. Still don't know how we survived that miraculously..haha.. Anyway, I've always been a silent supporter to this friendly bunch of people who always make me feel inclusive knowing that I am a lady of few words, haha.  We went to this restaurant called PU3 and although the service staff should really write down orders so that we don't always have to remind them that two of our drinks had not arrived get our orders wrong. I mean it's for their customers' benefit and also their own so that they don' undercharge their customers. Just saying. They serve Nasi Ambeng served in a big dulang or tray that is meant to be eaten by 2, 4 or 6 people which is m...
