How to Save a Life

Im a fan of The Fray and this is a music group that does not only make music but also appeals to the troubled teens who are struggling through life. Their song How to Save a Life makes a big impact on them and the song also started the how to save a life campaign to help these teenagers realise that they have to save their life first to get through their troubled times and to do the right thing instead of being a slave to alcohol, drugs and other bad influences.

There is a website ( http://www.howtosavealife.com/ ) inspired by this very song.

The save-a-life campaign is also set up in memory of Colin Fahrenkamp who had been a friend to a lot of people but sadly, his life ended abruptly in a car accident. Apparently, the last song that he downloaded was How to Save a Life and during his funeral, it was played out in memory of him. A memorial scholarship in his name was also set up to give teens a chance to discover their dreams.

Birthday Gathering & House Hunting

Last week, I celebrated a friend of mine's belated birthday together with another friend at her condo. Sadly, this would be the last time we would hold the celebration at her place because she has finally managed to sell off her condo unit after one year of looking for a buyer. Mostly we used the swimming pool facilities although the two of us didn't swim at all but just chill under the shade. We brought home cooked food and I really appreciated my friend for doing this for us, thinking about how the young son of a friend of us would love the swimming pool for kids. She is so selfless and kind to her friends and I'm truly blessed to have her in my life.  While one was selling off the house, the other friend was on the verge of getting a dream house for herself and her young son. A Reminder to the Living

Recently, we lost our former President when he passed away at the age of 92. He was known to have his heart for the people although those who worked closely with him couldn't actually picture him as that for he was a taskmaster when it came to work. He did his own narratives and do the best that he could as he knew where he came from and wanted to make good out of his life.  He showed that the circumstances that we are in can't stop us from going far in life. We should continue to focus on our actions, has strong dedication and when things get difficult, look at the bigger picture and understand why we are here. Ultimately, we should all be working towards the purpose we have in mind which makes things easier to cope. Thank you for helping the Singaporeans especially those who needed help most. Our First Group Meeting After Graduation

It has been a long time coming since the last time we met was on Graduation Day although I did meet up with 3 of them quite recently for a birthday celebration. I somehow never seem to miss out on any of the gatherings including the time when we went to a coffee shop after our stressful Econs exam papers. Still don't know how we survived that miraculously..haha.. Anyway, I've always been a silent supporter to this friendly bunch of people who always make me feel inclusive knowing that I am a lady of few words, haha.  We went to this restaurant called PU3 and although the service staff should really write down orders so that we don't always have to remind them that two of our drinks had not arrived get our orders wrong.
