Fear of Turning 40

Greetings! It was Valentine's Day yesterday and the day before, there was this small space with pretty heart themed decos and this was one of them. I haven't been catching up on blogging lately though I have typed out the blog post which I took some significant amount of doing so. I just feel that it wasn't perfect enough or that I had rambled on things that I might have talked about in the past. Just me basically recapping the things that I aim to do but failed and then rant again on how I would do better the next time. It's just a vicious cycle you know. But then again, life isn't perfect to start with. If I am always striving to find perfection in my writing to draw in more readers, then that is not my aim. I just have to focus on writing from the heart. But to be honest, there is a world of difference in my writings when comparing the past and the present, lol. Oh the cringe fest. But the past is what shaped us. The times when I was writing about frustrations, o...

Boosting My Productivity

A sweet treat over the weekend I have a confession. I am the queen of distractions...lol. It's still a work in progress for me to rid of the habit of being easily distracted, especially when I have actual things to do but I have a solution that I find is rather helpful. Okay, maybe very helpful because I managed to do up a custom order in one sitting yesterday night. And that is my most unproductive time when I am at home after a whole day at work, grocery and food shopping and then returning home to work out and eat. Yesterday I didn't exercise so I used that time to do up the order.  But it's about balance too. Prior to that, I was watching an anime episode and before I got sucked into watching more episodes, I ended it there and went into 'work' mode. What helped is breaking down the time, to 5 minutes each. For example, I will take 5 minutes to do the foundation layout, rest for 1 min and then another 5 minutes to do the next step. And so on until I finished the...

Word of the Year 2021: Consistency

How did you start your 2021? Today marked the first week for the new year and to be honest, I didn't feel very accomplished. In fact, it was rather slow and I don't know why, last two days I had been sleepy when I was watching youtube or watching netflix at night. I was barely on the internet for half an hour and felt the sleepiness creeping in. Where did my energy go?  The first day of the morning, I spent the time writing out my goals followed by a 25 minute HIIT exercise, thinking why did this particular workout become my first workout of the year, lol. This is the toughest one coz of the length and intensity but oh well, let's just say we start off with a (sweaty) bang. Later that evening, we went to the Art Science museum. To be  honest, it used to be boring but informative. But now they made it like some trendy and cool place to go to with the interactive lights, perhaps to attract more people like families with children and couples with the many instagram worthy phot...

Last Post for 2020...to A Better 2021!

Here's a pictorial recaps on what I had been up to recently in December. We are officially on the last day of 2020. Many of us are hopeful for a better 2021. I also feel that we are entering 2021 with renewed goals amidst the chaos that the pandemic brought upon this world that affected everyone. Many of us started to feel demotivated and also frustrated because we experienced things that we didn't think that we would go through in our lives.  But you know what. Let us look forward to a great year ahead. We enter 2021 with a richer yet different kind of experience. There were many hard lessons learnt along the way. It might have been chaotic but 2020 was full of meaning too. Last week, I made personalised bookmarks for leaving colleagues. I didn't write any personal notes to them because I didn't really get along well with them. They were on a 2 year stint with our branch so they needed to gain work experience as much as possible before returning to schools. I used my l...

Looking forward to 2021 After A Bad 2020?

Hi there Mask wearing is compulsory and part of the new normal Recently, I wrote a whole blogpost in draft but there was some worldwide power outage and I was not able to save and now it's gone, lol. So there is some delay in posting up a new post. I actually have a written draft but I think I wanna write about a completely different thing. so we are barely two weeks into 2021 and for most of us, 2020 had been one heck of a ride. There are also people who gained from the whole pandemic fiasco by starting new businesses but some started out of necessity. Basically we need to be in survival mode even if the odds are against us because we still need to live as life goes on, pandemic or not. I have also tried to make changes in my life by knowing what are important and what are not. Sometimes it takes a life changing event to happen before we become more self aware and take the necessary baby steps to make our life better. It's not a process that takes a day to accomplish but can ...

Being More Consistent in Life & Cleansing Our Heart

Hi there Thank you for being here, lol. I don't know if people still read blogs but if you are here reading my humble blog, once again thanks! I just can't let go of this blog after so many years and then I just want to continue writing here, even if it's just once a week. So it is somewhat like a weekly blog. I have been following up a Master Consistency class and there are 20 parts to it. The one I am following the class from, she's not a qualified life coach, but she has amassed so much knowledge as she is an avid reader and based on her personal experiences which she found helpful to share so we can all benefit. I am not done with the classes yet as it is still on-going and even though each module is in bite sized pieces, it is pretty extensive and you can learn quite a lot from it. Anyway, I deal with inconsistency all the time but I think that most of us are quite like that too. Or maybe it's just me, haha. I know that there are people who follow a certain rou...

Start of December, BTS Pop Up Store & Many Plans Ahead

Every December I will have minor plans, mainly shopping but this year will be different because I need to save more money. And as in my last post, I don't get additional bonus on top of the 13th month bonus so there is no way I can be careless but to be more prudent. But this month, we will receive $100 Re-discovery vouchers that will help us to subsidise some fees off local attractions and hotel stays. Can't travel yet? Be a tourist in your country! In a way, this is also helping our economy to slowly recover because the travel industry will not be recovering anytime soon so we don't have tourists coming in to bring in the revenue. One of the earlier plans we had was the BTS pop up store. It was free but we need to book in advance and they are only opened for booking on Wednesday, i think? We missed the first round so we had to book for the following week. Anyway, I looked at the prices of the merchandise online and my goodness, so expensive. I used to listen to a lot of K...
