State of Calmness & Getting Rid of My Poverty Mindset

Photo by  Francesco Ungaro  from  Pexels I like one of those IG Q&A where social media influencers, esteemed speakers or motivators from Singapore would invite people to ask them questions that they will answer in short replies, either in text or spoken form. And usually these people would answer so articulately based on experience, knowledge or their interactions with other people. The way the approached the questions you would think that their lives were literally quite perfect because their answers were so mature and full of wisdom. But they had faced difficult times in the past as well which they may then use as a source of inspiration for others to rise above their current difficult situations if they believe they can do it, with enough support and motivation, from themselves and others. I don't know why, but the guys usually have these state of calmness, and the ladies would be more emotional in their posts, but I guess it's just human nature? Either way, I appreciate

Completing the 28 Day Chloe Ting Summer Shred Challenge - Achievement Unlocked!

I know this picture with the ice cream don't relate to fitness, but I'm quite amazed at my more defined arms, lmao..thanks to the various types of planks, push ups, tricep toe touch etc etc... Today I completed the last day of 28 days 2020 Chloe Ting Summer Shred Challenge and oh boy, she really wanted to make us give our all on this day. So each day we had to do a few types of workout, usually one full body and the other two or so, abs and core. The transition to another workout after completing the first round, is quite a mental test, lol. But for the 28th day, it was full on torture like in all the 3 workouts, she included burpees, various planks, bicycle crunch and crab toe touch..something like that. The last workout was 20 minutes long and at some point, I thought maybe I will continue later but I persisted. Sweating like a perpetual waterfall.  Also, I had never picked up so many new words before in fitness, lol. Sometimes I wonder why must exercise be this torturous? No

Elections & Changing Habits for the Better

Last week in Singapore, many events led to the Elections on June 10th. Because the elections were held during the Pandemic, many precautions were in place. There were e-rallies instead of outdoor rallies to prevent large gatherings which can spread the virus further. People were also voicing out their opinions online and made it obvious who they were voting for.  Whether or not I am a public servant, I choose not to show which team I am supporting. But admittedly, the competition is getting tougher and almost everyone seems like a worthy candidate. Ultimately, you want people with sound policies and who would be able to be the voice for the people. It's not about attaining political power for personal gains. I believe our government is very good already and has the people's interests at heart. But it's also time to have differing views for checks and balances.  How the Singapore government handled the economic crisis as a result of the Covid-19, with focus on the people, se

Celebrating the Small Wins

Photo by  Dennis Magati  from  Pexels I was supposed to upload a blogpost last week because well, I recently stated to follow a weekly goal format to be more productive to benefit my physical, mental and spiritual self. Then last week also welcomed a brand new month which is July and that means we have just completed the first half of the year which is honestly hard for most of us due to the global pandemic. A lot of things that many of us planned ahead in life, go up in smoke, as if God is laughing at us and reminding us at the same time that He is the ultimate planner. You can plan up to the most minute details and then things happen and you can't carry it out and just hope for the best, or at least try to 'wing' it.  So at this point, many of us just wanted to survive and come out strong. Such tough times forced us to re-evaluate our lives on what matters to us more, rather than just cruising through life like it's fine and dandy. But we can't be heroes everyday.
